His career began in 2001 at Petersen Publishing — the company that built modern automotive enthusiast media (Hot Rod, Motor Trend, Motorcyclist, 4-Wheel & Off-Road, Sport Rider, Dirt Rider). Across 14 years inside that portfolio he worked with hundreds of performance brands — from OEs to mom-and-pops to fresh startups — on the campaigns that built their categories. He doesn’t market to enthusiasts. He is one.

Outside the office, Brian races at the Pan-American Superbike level on a 2025 Ducati Panigale V4S, rides mountain bikes, runs boats, and spends weekends in the Florida outdoors with his wife Sarah (VP of Operations at Sexton & Co.) and their family. He lives in Lithia, FL.
