THE HIGH PERFORMANCE EXPO TEAMS UP WITH STREET CAR TAKEOVER FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE 2026 PERFORMANCE WEEK IN CHARLOTTE
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The High Performance Expo (HPX) today announced a new collaboration with Street Car Takeover (SCT) to bring an expanded, action-packed automotive experience immediately following the 2026 HPX event. The partnership creates an unmatched week of performance, innovation, and horsepower in the heart of the motorsports capital. Merging HPX’s world-class trade event with SCT’s adrenaline-charged street car racing, this collaboration promises to deliver the most dynamic gathering for the high-performance automotive industry.
HPX will take place June 2-4, 2026, at the Charlotte Convention Center, bringing together top manufacturers, performance brands, builders, racers, and aftermarket innovators. Immediately following HPX, Street Car Takeover will host its high-energy weekend starting with a Pre-Event Party on Thursday, June 4, at Twin Peaks in Concord, N.C., before moving full throttle into racing action on Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6, at zMAX Dragway. Special ticket pricing will be available for attendees of both events, creating the ultimate crossover between the industry and the enthusiasts who drive it.
“This partnership brings together two of the most passionate communities in performance,” said Dr. Jamie Meyer, co-founder of The High Performance Expo. “HPX is where innovation and industry come together, and Street Car Takeover is where horsepower comes to life. Together, we’re creating a full week of excitement for fans, racers, and industry pros alike.”
Street Car Takeover co-founder Chase Lautenbach echoed Meyer’s enthusiasm. “SCT is thrilled to join forces with HPX to make this one of the biggest performance weeks in the country,” Lautenbach said. “From the expo floor to the drag strip, fans can experience everything they love about cars — all in one unforgettable week.”
This collaboration solidifies HPX’s role as the premier destination for automotive aftermarket and performance professionals, while amplifying SCT’s reputation as one of the most authentic, fan-driven motorsports experiences in the nation. Together, they are creating a must-attend destination week for every corner of the performance industry — show owners, manufacturers, retailers, builders, racers, and fans alike.
